What Your Choice of Wine Says About You

March 10, 2010

They say “You are what you eat” — so I figure that applies to what you drink too. Here’s a wine personality profile chart I found in the Texas Wine Compendium. (Click the pic for a larger view)

Note: Even they know know it’s BS, but it’s all in good fun.

Here at the Viticultural Personality Institute, we’ve compiled a fun list of personality types based on wine preferences.

If your favorite wine listed here does not accurately reflect your particular personality, please choose another favorite wine (or change your personality – otherwise, you’ll make our researchers look bad).

The Shiraz
You know who you are–the toast of the town. Youʼre boisterous–make that joyous–and you light up a room just by walking into it. Your motto? Life is too short to be a wallflower. Of course, thereʼs no danger of that happening to you.

The Port
Look at you, Smooth Operator. You are so silky sleek you donʼt walk into a room, you glide. You appreciate sophistication, but youʼre anything but stuffy. There is a refinement in the way you express yourself.

The Riesling
Still waters run deep. No, youʼre not the showy type. Youʼre a little more reserved. Youʼre the perfect friend to have in cozy little settings where nobody has to speak, they just come to relax and enjoy the moment. Youʼre comfortable, and yet–you still surprise ys now and then.

The Merlot
Thereʼs a mystical side to you, slightly mischievous, but that only makes you the life of the party. The fact that we canʼt really know everything about you makes you all the more intriguing. Itʼs just so hard to nail you down–sometimes youʼre subtle, other times youʼre adventurous.

The Cabernet
Youʼre bold and youʼre strong, but with a warm side that only comes out once weʼve gotten to know you. Same goes for that bone-dry sense of humor. Itʼs no wonder the sophisticated set loves you–not that you care.

The Pinot Noir
Thereʼs no getting around it. Youʼre difficult. Youʼre demanding. But oh, oh, oh, so worth it. Youʼre the kind who has to have things just “so” before youʼre willing to open up and share your secrets. But we donʼt mind going to a little extra effort.

A silver wedding dress is not ordinary. It is usually the fondness of the bride if she likes silver or not. The meaning of silver wedding dresses and sweet quinceanera dressesmay also be wider than you think since some brides regard as very light gray colors as wedding dresses silver. Other brides might also want to accent their wedding dresses with an exacting color to make it more beautiful and striking designs for a silver wedding dress.
